Two journalists covering the Winter Olympics in Sochi got more than they bargained for in a Russian style hot tub.

In the “Relax Like Olympians” segment for the Today show, Al Roker and Matt Lauer stripped down naked and cozied up together in a Russian Bath House where they were pampered like Olympic athletes.  

Naked with the exception of a knitted hat, the famous duo indulge in a few spa treatments whilst being smacked with a bunch of eucalyptus leaves.

“What did I do to you?” Matt moaned during the spa spanking, while Roker wailed, “That tingles!”

Tired of their pummelling during the massage, they opt for a relaxing soak in the hot tub; but it wasn’t the last of the eucalyptus leaves. Two masseuses poured hot water all over their heads before covering their faces with a massive pile of the leaves which have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. 

“It’s like the second-to-last scene in a cannibal movie,” Lauer quipped before adding, “So now we know how to relax like Olympians.”

“Yeah, by making Matt and Al soup,” Roker said.
